Team vs team is where 2 teams have to get the most takedowns. The combat racing is just like it sounds. This is very disappointing, as it gets boring driving around the same maps. Every event has you go around a track, meaning there is no arena gamemodes. There are 3 gamemodes, combat racing, team vs team, and boss fights. Progression also isn't bad either, with you constanting winning alot of money, and gaining tons of XP. The game can be frustrating, but winning an event is satifising. I can't say that it is difficult, but there are some times where the game throws everything at you, and you just can't manage. However sometimes they just end up running into objects, or other AI cars. They can be very good, and give you a very hard challenge. The AI is a mix of really aggressive, and really dumb. It will stay in place, and never violently shakes. It does have a back view, but lacks a 360 view. It also did not display the Xbox controls, so I just had to press random buttons to figure out what I was doing. There is also no way to change the sensitivity either, even for keyboard controls, making the racing more frustrating. Some cars I can't even make a turn unless I use the e-brake, which makes the car act very floaty. The handling is horrible, as many cars understeer even with the handling upgrades maxed out. (I only used a controller) The controls are incredibly bad. I noticed that many of the in-game pictures for events were never changed, so they are still the old pictures from the web version. It won't clog the screen in races or in the menus, however the UI isn't totally HD. The graphic settings are very lackluster, as it only has settings for image effects, shadows, ambient occlusion, and motion blur. There is no option for window boarderless, but alt tabbing works perfectly in fullscreen, it just missing an audio focus lost setting. The video settings has fullscreen, resolution, and vsync. However, the graphics are simplistic, with a cartoonish feel, but feel outdated as the 1080p really shows some of the back textures, example the background textures on tracks. This was originally an Adobe Shockwave game, so it should have no problems running on any hardware. The game runs great, with it going over my monitor's refrech rate of 144hz. Game Reviewīurnin' Rubber 5 HD remasters the popular webgame, but doesn't build on what the web version started. This is an honest review of a new comer to the game. I never played any of the Burnin' Rubber games, so I have no nostalgia for the series. This game was posted on Steam Greenlight in 2015, and was greenlit. Was one of my childhood during 2014 and replaying it was the most nostalgic moment since it retains what it once was before the end of the flash era of gaming, pure fun that was mainly about racing and eliminating other cars that tried to get in your way, only a few cons though, sadly no online mode so there could have been great amount of fun and unlimited replay ability, some cars can get a bit buggy with the map (best example would be the hound while racing in on of the winter themed stages) and there isn't a button to rest your car so if you do get stuck, best option would be to rest the race and start over again (not the best option but could have been worse), Overall if you look past these little problems the game is truly worth playing and it doesn't take long to finish since it's just like the original, short and simple with a lot of unique cars for different difficulties, so if you do enjoy casual racing games that doesn't have complex customisation then this is a good one to buy (especially since it's $12 a price which games these days don't really come cheap).īurnin' Rubber 5 HD In-Depth Review Backstoryīurnin' Rubber 5 HD was originally a free webgame, but was removed not by Xform, but by Shockwave. So, we gave him very few reasons to have to pull that card. We had approached Charlie with such reverence that our main goal as producers, because I produce with the band as well, our main goal is to not allow that to happen going in. Were there any moments when Charlie kind of pulled the elder statesman card? Like, "No boys. So, it was bound to be an eclectic blues record, but I think more to the point is that Charlie and I have eclectic taste within the genre of the blues, and hopefully it reflects in a unique way through this record. You know? So, in the music I’ve made all my life, it’s probably one of the more unique components to what I do, is that it is eclectic. Not that we had a choice, because that’s how I write anyway. And B, because Charlie and I have such an eclectic appreciation of the blues new and old, I wanted to reflect our appreciation and our love of different styles of blues on this record. We wanted to take it further and I just-A, I don’t write like that. Because it’s hard to make a blues record this far removed from the inception of the blues and have it be a contribution to the genre and thereby be unique.Īlso, we wanted to improve on our last record. Hopefully, that’s what contributes to this being a unique statement in the world of blues, and that’s also hopefully what makes it an unpredictable blues record. How do you go about pulling all these different strains together? We’re not reinventing the wheel here, but just as our process to give it a fresh feel, so it’s not retro, but it’s not overly close-mic’d and in your face.Īs far as the inspirations here, there’s moments on the album that are country/folk blues and others that are Howlin’ Wolf-like Chicago stompers. So, there’s the close-mic process, there’s the room-mic process, and then there’s blending the two, which is a third sound all its own, which I think gives this record a huge part of its character-being able to blend those two. But you don’t want to leave it behind either. There’s a close-mic addiction in modern music that needs to be broken that we’re proud to say we’re part of the movement of. The production on this record is no accident, and with the engineer Ethan Allen and myself having a very clear vision on how we wanted to bring these sounds to life. Did you go into it with an idea of mixing blues with some modern production methods?Ībsolutely. In listening to the album, it sounds like there’s a good mix of that vintage mic/vintage equipment appeal and what sounded, to me at least, like a couple newer recording techniques. I’m glad it wasn’t another 15 years, because we had talked about making a record together before the first one for 15 years. We made the first one, put in a couple hundred shows and a couple million miles, and just knew that-I mean, we didn’t know-but we knew there was a place for us to continue moving forward with our sound, our collaboration. Moving on.īest part about it is we didn’t plan it. There was five years or so between Charlie and I’s last record and this record, and songs would pop out and I’d just say, Yep. You know, after writing songs for so long and so many years, you recognize their respective homes as they come alive or as they come to life and complete themselves. When in the songwriting process did you know that Charlie was going to be recording with you again? In the mini documentary that you put out for No Mercy In This Land, you said the blues you write are born to be played with Charlie. It’s part raucous Chicago blues, part Delta fingerpicking, and includes a standout Percy Mayfield-inspired soul track for good measure.Īhead of its release, Harper spoke with Reverb to talk about the songwriting and recording process, how making the album with his mother got him closer to Charlie, and how songs can come out of nowhere if you get your ego out of the way. The third-and his latest with Musselwhite-is No Mercy In This Land, which comes out this Friday, March 30. Another was 2014’s Childhood Home-a duet album with his mother, Ellen Harper, and an emotional testament to everything she instilled in him through her own playing, her record collection, and her family’s Folk Music Center & Museum, a 60-year-old institution in Claremont, California. One was 2013’s Get Up! with blues harmonica great Charlie Musselwhite, which won Harper another Grammy. The first game released under the newly acquired Football Manager brand was Football Manager 2005. Having been left without a publisher for its football management series, Sports Interactive teamed up with Sega and later, in April 2006, Sports Interactive was acquired completely by the publisher in a continuing trend of consolidation within the games industry. Whilst the Championship Manager series would go on, Eidos no longer had any source code, or, indeed a developer for Championship Manager. These developments led to a further announcement that future Sports Interactive football management games would be released under the famous Football Manager brand name. On 12 February 2004, after splitting from publishers Eidos Interactive, it was announced that Sports Interactive, developers of the Championship Manager game, had retained the rights to the source code but not the rights to the title Championship Manager, which were held onto by Eidos (who previously acquired the brand rights from Domark upon their merger in 1995). The latest version of Football Manager, titled Football Manager 2023, was released on 8 November 2022. However, following the break-up of their partnership with original publishers Eidos Interactive, triggered by the "fiasco" release of CM4 in 2003, Sports Interactive lost the naming rights to Eidos Interactive, but retained the game engine and data and re-branded the game Football Manager with their new publisher Sega. The game began its life in 1992 as Championship Manager. Their lap dances happen on stage with the performer and in front of huge audiences. I can tell you from experience that this hardly ever happens in the male stripping industry (unless you work for a male strip club in the USA). In addition to this, most of the female stripping work is done in the form of lap dances in private rooms. Yes, they do want to see some sexual dancing, but this is VERY different from what female strippers do, and to what men want when they hire a female stripper. You may find this hard to believe at first, but I strongly argue that most women just want some light-hearted, funny entertainment that they all can enjoy with their girlfriends. The male stripping industry Is all about cheeky entertainment (and not so much about sex). Women, when viewing male strippers, just want to have fun and have a laugh with their friends. WHAT DO WOMEN WANT FROM A MALE STRIP CLUB?įrom my experience at hens nights and male revue shows, women are not overly enthusiastic about a male stripper grinding on them, sleazing and shaking their penis in their face. So let’s get one thing straight here, guys are only interested in one thing, and that’s any sexual. The female stripping industry is more closely related to porn rather than entertainment, and the entertainment you see at bucks parties (fruit n veg shows, girl on girl shows, dominatrix shows, triple xxx shows) are usually classified as porn if you watch it on the internet anyway. They’re not there for the girls dancing skills or personalities, they are there to see some titties, let’s be honest. Generally speaking, men at either bachelor parties or in female strip clubs want to ‘check out’ the girl’s bodies and see really dirty things (The dirtier the better). WHAT DO MEN WANT AT A FEMALE STRIP CLUB? Ladies, here are the real differences between male and females strippers. They’re just not even in the same league. So if your man ever complains that you see a male stripper is just as bad as him going to a strip club, it’s time he thought again. I mean come on, when a man starts swinging his junk around they can’t seriously think we’re turned on by that, do they? But when it comes to big-headed male strippers (sorry guys) we’re usually laughing so hard we cry. When you watch beautiful women stripping off and strutting their stuff on the floor there’s something mesmerising about it and it’s damned sexy. And having experienced watching both male and female strippers myself, I have to say there’s a totally different dynamic between the two. Whether you’re at a bachelorette party, a friend’s birthday or just feeling a little curious there’s a time and a place for a stripper. |
